Sew much fun!

If you've been following my blog, you know that I've been sewing up a lot of upcycled projects. I have found some really great fabric (new and gently used) and also some essential sewing accessories. I just have to say it again: I LOVE to SEW! Just putting it out there. I'm having way too much fun.

In the middle of my latest project...coming right up!

I found this old sewing box for $4 at our local Flea market/Antique shop. It is in excellent condition - I was so excited I found this. There was traces of thread in it, which makes me adore this even more, just thinking about all the sewing the original owner must have done!

Now everything is nicely organized and not scattered all over the place or in random boxes!

 Bobbins

Lots of thread! Most of them are vintage, I got these for a great deal through an online estate sale.

The bottom is temporarily storing my unopened and almost empty thread spools, along with my pinking shears, and some other accessories.

I absolutely love the color of this thread! Can't wait to use it!

Alright, now onto my latest projects.

The Sand Dollar Dress

Upcycled sand dollar toddler dress

Wooden O-ring

Fully lined with brown fabric

Vintage-style Bib

Recognize this vintage fabric? I try to be a resourceful seamstress.
Fold-up Tote

This is my newest project. In the first picture of this post, I was in the middle of measuring and cutting the fabric.

Fully lined with black and yellow-polka dot fabric

This tote is a good size (15"x16") and can be used as a primary bag to carry your belongings you'd normally carry in a purse. It also folds up easily with a secure elastic to fit in any purse!

So those are my latest projects! My mind is overflowing with ideas, and with a lot of encouragement and prayer I am going to open an Etsy shop! For now, I am building my inventory, praying, sewing, praying, and praying! So if you could pray for me also, that would be greatly appreciated! I am really excited and will have a link to my shop here on my blog once I get it all set up :)

She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
